Frequently asked questions
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Real questions from FBO operators and pilots who've looked at RampReady™. If yours isn't here, email hello@getrampready.com — we'll answer it and, if it's useful to others, add it to this page.
Getting started
Is there a free trial?
For FBOs: yes. Every FBO plan starts with a 30-day free trial. You add a card when you sign up and pay nothing for 30 days. When the trial ends we charge the card for the plan you picked, unless you cancel before then in Settings → Billing, and we email you a reminder before that happens. The first 10 FBOs can pick the Founding plan: $99/mo billed annually ($1,188), charged when the trial ends, with full Pro-tier features for Year 1. Founding doesn't renew: at the end of Year 1 you choose the standard Starter or Pro plan at regular prices.
For pilots: RampReady is free. Every feature works the moment you create an account — no card, no trial countdown. We charge FBOs, not the pilots flying in.
How long does it take to set up?
About 20 minutes for an FBO. You create an account, verify your business, add your location (ICAO + airport), post your fuel prices and ramp fee waiver rules, invite your CSRs, and you're live. No implementation call, no sales pipeline.
What do I need to have ready before signing up?
A business email, the ICAO code of your airport, your current 100LL and Jet-A prices, your ramp fee structure and waiver thresholds (if any), and your team members' emails if you want them invited on day one. That's it.
Can I see it in action before paying?
Yes. Email hello@getrampready.com and we'll walk you through a live demo account with real data. No scheduling form, no pitch deck — just the product.
Does every CSR need their own login?
Every user should have their own login — it's a security best practice and lets you see who confirmed which request. Starter includes up to 5 seats per location; Pro and Founding are unlimited.
For FBOs
Do we have to replace our existing FBO software?
No. RampReady sits in front of systems like FBO One and Total FBO — it handles the pilot-facing and real-time ramp coordination layer they don't. You keep your existing ERP for invoicing, fuel reconciliation, hangar scheduling, and accounting, and you add RampReady for everything that happens in real-time with pilots and your ramp crew.
What if a pilot doesn't use RampReady — do they still see our fuel price?
Yes. Your fuel prices are visible publicly on getrampready.com and in anyone's search results, account or no account. There's no pilot paywall at all — requesting services just needs a free pilot account. This is intentional: free public fuel prices are how pilots discover your FBO, and a free pilot side means nothing slows requests from reaching your desk.
Can line crew use this on their phones?
Yes. Line crew use RampReady Crew, an iPhone app: what is on the ramp now, the schedule, the fuel queue, and messages with the desk, with large tap targets. We set your crew up on it when you join. There is no Android version yet.
How do we post fuel prices?
Settings → Fuel prices → type in 100LL and Jet-A values. Prices show on your public profile and every pilot request immediately. A timestamp is recorded so pilots can see when the price was last updated — which helps trust.
What happens if we have multiple locations?
You'd be on the Multi-location plan: every Pro feature at every location, with unified admin, per-site staff rosters, and cross-location analytics. Pricing depends on your operation. Use Request pricing on our home page or email hello@getrampready.com, and we'll reply with pricing within one business day.
Can we customize ramp fees and waiver thresholds?
Yes. Each FBO sets its own ramp fee structure — flat fee, per-aircraft-category tiers, waiver minimum in gallons, etc. The pilot-side Ramp Fee Waiver Calculator uses your exact values so pilots know how many more gallons get them waived. No generic averaging.
Do we need an ADS-B receiver?
No. We get live flight positions from Flightradar24, so live arrivals tracking works without any hardware on your end. Live ADS-B is included on every plan except Starter — Pro, Multi-location, Enterprise, and Founding all have it.
For pilots
Do I need to pay to see fuel prices?
No. RampReady is free for pilots, and fuel prices show without an account. A free account lets you send requests to FBOs, message the FBOs on RampReady, and keep a history of your trips. We charge FBOs, not the pilots flying in.
Does this replace ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot?
No. Those are flight-planning, navigation, weather, and EFB apps — you still need one. RampReady is the layer between you and the FBO once you know where you're going: fuel prices and fees, requests for fuel, parking, a crew car and other services, and the FBO's confirmation back on your phone. It is not for navigation.
How do I know my fuel request was received?
If the FBO is on RampReady, your request lands in its dashboard and on its staff's phones. The desk confirms, quotes, or declines it there, you see the status change in the app, and the desk can message you in the app.
If the FBO isn't on RampReady yet, we email your request to its front desk, where we know the desk's address. The desk confirms from a link in that email, and any reply it writes comes to your own email.
Either way, you get a push notification when the desk confirms. If you haven't heard back and you're short on time, call: the FBO's phone number is on its page in the app when we have it.
Is there an iOS or Android app?
Yes, for iPhone. RampReady for pilots is a free iPhone app, and getrampready.com/pilot shows how to get it. In the app, find your airport on the map and you see the FBOs there, with fuel prices and fees where the FBO posts them on RampReady. It's iPhone only for now; there's no Android app yet.
Can I block an FBO, report a message, or delete my account?
Yes. In a chat, tap Report to tell us about the conversation, or Block to stop that FBO from messaging you. A blocked FBO is listed in Messages under Recently Deleted, where you can unblock it. To delete your account, open the Profile tab and tap Delete account at the bottom.
Billing
Is the Founding price really non-refundable?
The 30-day free trial comes first, and if you cancel during it you're never charged. Yes. The Founding plan is $1,188 billed upfront for the full 12-month commitment, and that amount isn't refundable except where required by law. That's why the price is what it is — we're trading discount for commitment. See our Terms of Service for the full language.
What happens if I cancel mid-period?
Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. You keep access through the end of your current paid period, and we don't bill you again. Mid-period cancellations don't prorate a refund. Founding commits are 12 months regardless.
When am I charged?
Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, and nothing is charged during it. Monthly plans: when the trial ends, then on the same day each month. Annual plans: when the trial ends, then once a year on that date. Founding: once, when the trial ends, for the full 12 months.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, anytime from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period so you don't lose access you've already paid for.
Do you accept purchase orders or ACH?
We accept cards today via Stripe. ACH / wire / purchase orders are available on the Enterprise tier only. Email hello@getrampready.com to discuss.
Security & data
Who owns my data?
You do. You retain all rights to the content you submit — fuel prices, ramp fees, arrivals, messages, shift notes, everything. We get a limited license to store and process it so we can operate the Service. See our Terms for the exact wording.
Is data encrypted?
Yes — TLS 1.2+ on every network connection, encrypted backups rotated weekly, and every database table has Row Level Security (RLS) scoped to your authenticated identity so one user can't read another user's rows at the database layer. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth; we never see your plaintext password.
Where is my data stored?
In the United States. Database and authentication are hosted on Supabase; the web app is served by Vercel; payment details are held by Stripe; and in-app messaging is processed by Stream. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of subprocessors.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Email hello@getrampready.com and we'll export everything associated with your account in CSV / JSON within a few business days. Self-serve export is on the roadmap.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Dashboard access ends with your paid period. We retain your account data for 30 days after cancellation so you can request an export (email hello@getrampready.com) or reactivate; after that, personal data is deleted from production on request. You can also hard-delete your account anytime from Settings. Payment records are retained longer to meet tax and accounting obligations (typically 7 years), per our Privacy Policy.
Do you have SOC 2 compliance?
Not yet. SOC 2 Type I is on our roadmap — the underlying controls (RLS, MFA, encrypted backups, security headers, principle-of-least-privilege IAM, audit logging) are already in place; we just haven't engaged an auditor for formal attestation. If SOC 2 is a hard requirement for your FBO's decision, tell us — it accelerates our timeline.
Reliability
What if our internet goes down during a fuel request?
Anything already confirmed is safe — it lives in the database server-side. When the connection comes back, both sides re-sync automatically. For brand-new requests mid-outage, the old fallback works: phone the FBO. We're not trying to be the only path, we're trying to be the default path.
What's your uptime target?
We aim for 99.9% on the application and rely on Supabase (database, auth) and Vercel (web delivery) for their own uptime commitments. Scheduled maintenance is rare and announced. A public status page is on the roadmap.
What happens in an outage?
Errors are captured automatically via Sentry and we're paged. We push a fix or rollback directly to production from our main branch; typical time to restore is under 15 minutes for most incidents. If an outage affects your FBO, email hello@getrampready.com — we'll respond fast.
Where does your platform run?
Vercel's global edge network serves the web app, Supabase hosts the database and authentication, Stream Chat handles messaging, Mapbox serves the live tracking map tiles, and Upstash handles rate-limiting storage. Each of these vendors publishes its own security and compliance documentation, and most maintain SOC 2 reports — see our Privacy Policy for the full subprocessor list.
Integrations
Can you integrate with FBO One or Total FBO?
Not yet — it's on the roadmap. The short-term goal is a daily export you can load into your ERP for fuel sold, ramp fees collected, and movement records. If integration with a specific system is blocking your decision, tell us which one and we'll prioritize it.
Do you have an API?
Public API access is planned for the Enterprise tier. Today, exports are handled for you — email hello@getrampready.com and we'll send your data as CSV / JSON within a few business days. Automated daily exports are on the roadmap; if you need programmatic access for a specific automation, tell us and we may be able to enable it early.
Can you export to QuickBooks?
A QuickBooks-compatible daily transaction CSV is on the roadmap. Real-time QuickBooks Online integration is a bigger lift and will come on the Enterprise tier first.
Can we import pilot data from our old system?
Yes, for larger migrations we do it manually. Email hello@getrampready.com with a sample CSV of what you have and we'll tell you what we can pull in. Don't wait on this to sign up — you can start fresh and backfill later.
